Henry Ford


Henry Ford was born on July 30, 1863 on a Dearborn, Michigan farm. At age 15 Henry’s father gave him a pocket watch where Henry disassembled it and assembled it with ease. Henry Ford lived with his family and worked on their family farm till he decided to leave at the age of 16, He lived with his parents William and Mary Ford, Henry was also their first surviving child. He went to school at a local private school, private grammar school, and was an apprentice at a machine shop.

 Ford was married to Clara Ala Bryant and had a son, Edsel. In the first several years of his marriage Ford ran a mill, He was hired to work at Edison Illuminating Company, and then he established the Ford Motor Company.

 The main reason why Henry Ford was famous is he created the Model T in 1908, also the first automobile to be mass produced. Other things that Henry Ford has done were he created the first moving assembly line to mass produce. In 1918 Henry named his son president of the Ford Motor Company.

  He also traveled to Norway to try and stop America its involvement in WWI. Ford’s first creation was the Quadricycle, the first gasoline powered, horseless carriage. In 1932 Henry Ford introduced the V-8 engine. Henry Died of a cerebral hemorrhage, on April 7, 1947, at the age of 83.
